Vision

We are a full service home health care company that provides services for our clients with Five Star premium values.  We always view the client as our customer, not the insurance company or third party payor.  Our services and pricing are straightforward and discussed upfront, with no suprises and with clear expectations about what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.  Health care is a collaborative process - we must work together.  You will have a case manager assigned to you that is your day-to-day “quarterback” of your health care services provided by our company.  If you wish, they also coordinate our services with other providers.

We are accredited by The Joint Commission (JCAHO).  JCAHO accredits and certifies more than 19,000 health care organizations and programs in the US and is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting strict performance, quality and process standards.  We are certified to provide care to Medicare and Medicaid recipients.

Evolution of home Health Care

You are probably hearing a lot about the “broken” U.S. health care system.  Although we have the best health care practitioners in the world, the overall structure and economics of the system need an overhaul.  The explosive growth in retiring baby boomers will create a massive new influx of recipients in addition to the very large market that already exists of clients who prefer to receive their health care in their home.  Over the next decade, the health care reform law will be implemented in some form, regardless of who is politically in charge. Changes to Medicaid and Medicare have started and those programs will continue to be under attack because they spend more money than they take in.  An overhaul in the U.S. health care system is going to happen. It’s inevitable.  If your household spent more money than your income, you would have to make a change, too!  As we see it, there are 3 main problems in our health care system: 1) the patient is not the customer, the insurance companies are, 2) the care among providers is poorly coordinated, costing more money than it has to and leaving patients frustrated at times, and 3) preventative care and basic health care education is lacking.  We are building our business model to fix those problems.  We will be participating in new programs created by the health care reform law to provide compassionate services that help patients recover quicker at home, costs less money to payors and positions our company for long term success.  Research Accountable Care Organizations, Medical Homes and the Independence at Home Act for more information on the game-changing legislation that will place Five Star Home Health Care at the forefront of the health care industry.  Having Five Star Home Health Care as our health care partner is a good decision now and in the future.
